Triggers and Tantra

Emotional Triggers: The Doorways to Your Freedom

You feel it before you can name it. That sharp, electric heat rising in your chest. The stomach drop. The instant contraction, like your whole being is bracing for a storm.

You’ve been triggered.

You may want to fight-defend-argue-trash-flee the person or situation that is the "cause"

It's so subversive we don't even know we are engaged in Reaction because our Nervous System has taken over the show.

Most people see emotional triggers as inconveniences—something to suppress, avoid, or project outward onto someone else.

But what if I told you your triggers are sacred invitations? What if every jolt of discomfort, every pang of insecurity, and every moment of defensiveness was actually a doorway to your deepest healing?

Triggers aren’t problems. They’re messengers. And when we learn to meet them with curiosity instead of resistance, we unlock a level of personal power that most people will never touch.

Tantra & The Alchemy of Triggers

Tantra, at its core, is the practice of embracing all of life as a path to liberation. Unlike spiritual teachings that emphasize detachment or denial, Tantra invites us to meet our triggers fully—not to be consumed by them, but to transmute them.

A trigger is simply energy. A past wound, an unmet need, or an old story making itself known in your body. Instead of reacting, Tantra teaches us to hold presence with what arises. To breathe into the discomfort. To meet it with compassion.

Imagine if, instead of spiraling into anger or shutting down, you could simply be with the feeling? Not indulging it. Not rejecting it. Just witnessing. In that space of non-reaction, something profound happens: The charge begins to dissolve. You reclaim your power. You shift from being run by the trigger to alchemizing it.

When you hold space, you are engaging in a process that allows you to step out of Fight/Flight/Freeze from the Sympathetic Nervous System, bringing in your Higher Mind to allow and observe.

By simply allowing and observing you switch from Contraction to Expansion

Fear to Freedom

Judgment to Compassion

And you begin the process of breaking that pattern for yourself.

Energy Practices to Rise Above Emotional Loops

The energy patterns tied to triggers run deep, but they can be rewired. This is where energy work comes in. Some of my favorite practices to help clear and rise above emotional loops include:

🔮 Biofield Tuning & Psychic Healing – When you experience a trigger, it’s often because old emotional frequencies are still stored in your field. Through sound and energetic work, we can clear the stagnant imprints, making it easier to move forward without reacting from the same place. At home you can imagine a gold energy from Source washing through your body, absolving the trigger. Or uses "psychic roses" to clean up, dust up, sweep up, the frequency of the trigger from your body.

🔥 Somatic Embodiment – Instead of escaping your emotions, move through them. Shake, dance, moan, breathe. These are examples of ways of alchemize your triggers into pleasure. I'm not kidding.

Moving is how your body processes. Why? It calls to the intuitive part, the primal part of us that takes us from Sympathetic to Parasympathetic Nervous system.

Just do it! Like right now! Let out a big MOAN.

I'm laughings as I'm writing this because people always comment or give me funny stares when I'm out and about and let out a huge sigh or moan, which makes me giggle even more.

Let your body process the energy rather than keeping it trapped. Another way I process even bigger emotions is to get on my hands and knees and slap the carpet for about 10 seconds to really release pent up anger. Yes like a baby throwing a tantrum (better out than in!). When I feel stuck or anxious, I practice shaking and twerking until I can feel the kinetic energy buzzing to a new pattern in my body.

🌿 Identify a Safe Space – If I didn't say out loud all the darkest and tacky things that roll around unbidden in my brain, I would fester. When I tell a friend how I want to punch "so-n-so" in the face and slash their bike tires, I know that I can say that without fear of judgement, because they know my heart. When I feel confronted by a trigger in a safe place, I can easily examine it with people who love me.

Who can hold space for you? Do you equally hold a shame-free zone for them? If you need someone, consider a counselor or energy medicine practitioner who is trained who holds that space with non-judgement.

Triggers, Karma & Manifestation

what is tantra infographic

Every time you react to a trigger from a place of unconsciousness, you reinforce an energetic loop. But every time you pause, feel, and choose differently, you break the cycle. This isn’t just healing—it’s karma-clearing.

Karma isn’t about punishment. It’s about repetition. It's like an IOU that we haven't paid until we CHOOSE differently.

When we keep engaging in the same energetic responses, we keep manifesting the same realities. But when we learn to hold presence with our triggers, to not react in the same old ways, we shift our timeline. We align with a new reality—one where we’re not just repeating old wounds, but actively creating from our highest self.

This is why working with your triggers is so powerful for manifestation. The less energy you waste on unconscious reactions, the more energy you have for what you actually desire. When you stop feeding old patterns, you make space for miracles.

Becoming a Safe Space—for Yourself & Others

When we don’t know how to process our own triggers, we become unsafe for others. We lash out. We blame. We make our pain someone else’s responsibility.

But when we commit to being conscious with our triggers, we become a safe space—not just for ourselves, but for the people we love.

🖤 Instead of projecting, we get curious.🖤 Instead of blaming, we take responsibility.🖤 Instead of shutting down, we breathe and feel.

Being a safe space doesn’t mean suppressing your feelings. It means holding them with wisdom. It means communicating from your heart instead of your wound. And it means giving others the grace to process their own emotions, too.

If you want support in deepening this work, my psychic healing sessions and biofield tunings are designed to help you clear stuck energy, reclaim your power, and rise above old patterns. Your triggers are your teachers. Let’s work together to meet them with clarity, courage, and radical self-love.
